Omi RSS is designed with privacy as a core principle. Your data stays on your device. We don't collect, store, or transmit any personal information.
All your RSS subscriptions, articles, folders, tags, and reading preferences are stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party.
Omi RSS does not require you to create an account. There is no login, no email collection, and no personal information requested at any point.
We do not use cookies, analytics, or any form of tracking. We don't know who you are, what feeds you subscribe to, or what articles you read.
The only network requests Omi RSS makes are to fetch RSS/Atom/JSON feeds that you explicitly subscribe to. These requests go directly from your browser to the feed source—we don't proxy or intercept them.
The browser extension requests only the minimum permissions necessary to function:
Omi RSS is open source. You can inspect the code yourself to verify these privacy claims.
Since all data is stored locally, you have complete control. Clear your browser data or uninstall the extension to remove all Omi RSS data. We have nothing to delete on our end because we never had your data in the first place.
If we ever change this policy, we'll update this page. But our commitment to privacy is fundamental to Omi RSS and won't change.
